Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Western Apparel Designer & Pattern Maker to lead the development of innovative, high-quality western apparel. This fully remote role requires extensive expertise in textiles, garment construction, pattern making, and fashion design.

The ideal candidate must be able to design and develop products from scratch, create and refine patterns, and produce detailed, production-ready tech packs. This is a highly technical and creative role, requiring someone with a strong background in fashion development, product innovation, and apparel construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative western-inspired apparel, from casual wear to performance-driven rodeo gear.
• Create original patterns and ensure proper garment construction, fit, and functionality.
• Develop detailed tech packs with precise specifications for fabrics, trims, stitching, and finishing details.
• Research and select appropriate textiles and materials for each design.
• Stay ahead of western fashion trends and integrate them into new product designs.
• Oversee the product development process from initial sketch to final sample approval.
• Create graphics, embroidery patterns, and embellishment designs as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in fashion design, garment construction, and pattern making (must have prior professional experience in apparel design and production).
• Strong knowledge of textiles, fabric performance, and material sourcing.
• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and pattern-making software.
• Ability to create custom patterns from scratch and modify existing patterns for optimal fit and function.
• Understanding of grading, sizing, and the full garment production process.
• Deep knowledge of western fashion, rodeo apparel, and western lifestyle trends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute designs with technical precision.
• Innovative mindset with a passion for creating unique, high-quality western apparel.
